The 2021 Mercedes GLS starts at $76,000 for the GLS 450 models. This is the base trim, but there are several others to choose from. At the top of the lineup is the brand-new Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 with an MSRP of $160,500.

Each trim level of the GLS lineup receives its own engine. The 450 includes a 362-horsepower turbocharged inline-six, while the 580 comes with a 483-horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The AMG® GLS 63 includes a 603-horsepower twin-turbocharged V8, while the all-new Maybach GLS 600 includes a 550-horsepower variant of this engine. All four models come complete with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

GLS 450 models achieve 20/24 mpg, while the GLS 580 is rated at 16/21 mpg instead. The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 will see 15/19 mpg, while the AMG® GLS 63 is rated at 14/18 mpg. When properly equipped, the GLS lineup can tow up to 7,700 pounds.

The regular GLS models include a three-row configuration that accommodates either six or seven people. However, the Maybach model is a two-row SUV with room to hold four to five people. There is plenty of cargo space in these SUVs, with 42.7 to 48.7 cubic feet behind the second row and a total of 84.7 cubic feet when those seats are folded down.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS comes equipped with tons of standard technology. Even the base model sees a 12.3-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless device charging, HD Radio, satellite radio, a premium 13-speaker Burmester sound system, eight USB ports, Bluetooth®, a navigation system and a touchpad controller. It also includes quad-zone automatic climate control, a sunroof, a remote start, plus a parking damage detector. The new Maybach model is the epitome of luxury, including every feature you could desire, such as massaging seats, a panoramic sunroof, cooled and heated cup holders, heated armrests, a premium 26-speaker Burmester sound system, a seven-inch rear-seat MBUX tablet and wireless charging in the back row.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV lineup measures 205-206″ L x 77-80″ W x 70-72″ H, depending on the model you choose, while the 2021 Mercedes-Maybach GLS is rated at 204” L x 80” W x 72” H. The standard lineup includes 20- or 21-inch wheels, while the Maybach is equipped with 22-inch wheels. However, all of the models include 11 exterior paint colors.

The 2021 Mercedes-Bens GLS-Class has not been evaluated by the NHTSA or IIHS. However, all models come equipped with lots of safety technology to keep you protected.
